Susana Esteban and her longtime friend António Menano have created Alegrete 1375 Club, a truly exclusive project, restricted to only 200 members. This is the sole channel available to acquire the new Alegrete 1375 white and red wines, which are the result of a limited production of 1375 bottles each. They are available for purchase in elegant wooden cases with numbered labels, exclusive to each member.
These are wines from a very old rain-fed vineyard that had been abandoned in the Serra de São Mamede, in the Alentejo, long one of Susana Esteban’s favorite regions. The old vines with Portuguese dryland varieties, planted at high altitudes in granite and schist areas, combined with significant temperature variations, allow for slow ripening, making this a very special terroir.”.
“This is an almost perfect vineyard, and the more perfect it is, the less I have to intervene,” says the winemaker, a staunch advocate of “wine that is made in the vineyard and not in the winery.”

The Alegrete 1375 Club opens on October 23rd, and until November 15th, members can make their purchases. The wines are sold in boxes of 2 bottles (one Alegrete 1375 white and one red), and each member will need to purchase a minimum of 6 boxes, at a cost of 720€ (12 bottles).
Members of the Alegrete 1375 Club will be carefully selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with availability limited to the existing 1375 bottles of white and red wine.
To emphasize the exclusivity and limited quantity of this wine, Rita Rivotti has created a special design, assigning each member an exclusive number on the labels of the white and red wine bottles they purchase. These numbers will be the same on bottles of both varieties.

She began her journey in the Douro, working for Quinta do Côtto and Quinta do Crasto, and the numerous awards indicated that she was on the right path. She provided extensive consultancy services, produced several wines widely acclaimed by critics, and undertook parallel projects such as Sidecar, always with a new guest, and Crochet and Tricot with Sandra Tavares (initially at Quinta do Côtto).
In January 2016, she was awarded the “Revelation Producer of the Year 2015” by the prestigious magazine “Wine – A Essência do Vinho” for the tremendous success achieved with the wines produced, both nationally and internationally
